THE DESIGNER
Hi! My name is Meghan Rooney and I am the founder and designer of M.E.R. Joolz. I am 17 years old and a senior in high school. M.E.R. Joolz began in July of 2005 when I was 10, after I experienced a series of ankle injuries that ended my "career" as a figure skater. I became interested in creating jewelry after spending the afternoon at a friend's house where her mom taught me how to make a bracelet. I became OBSESSED! Instead of spending hours at the rink, I now spend my time in my studio in my home.
All of my designs are created using only the finest, handmade lampwork beads, Swarovski crystals, various gemstones, Czech glass, gold, brass, and sterling silver findings. All of the glass beads in M.E.R. Joolz designs are made by extremely talented artists from all across the United States.
My designs can be found here on merjoolz.com, at merjoolz.etsy.com and at Serendipity in Hudson, MA. Along with the websites and store, I typically do around 35-45 craft shows a year in the New England Area.
